SheetDiff™
Compare, QA

SheetDiff™ is a schema-agnostic Google Sheets™ add-on built for spreadsheet comparison and quality assurance. It compares two versions of any structured data — the original and the reworked — and produces a detailed, row-level diff report.

Comparison Modes

Structural Diff

Row-level comparison with advanced algorithms to detect modified, moved, split, merged, added, and deleted rows.

Cell-by-Cell

Column-aligned granular comparison for pinpointing exact character or formatting changes.

Duplicate Finder

Scan massive datasets instantly to detect and highlight duplicate rows within a single sheet.

Use case video: Simple Mode for product catalogs

Compare product catalogs in Google Sheets by SKU

Watch SheetDiff compare an approved product catalog against a supplier update, then highlight modified product fields, added SKUs, and deleted products even when the supplier file changes row order.

  • Built for searches like “compare two product catalogs in Google Sheets”, “find added and deleted rows in spreadsheets”, and “SKU-based spreadsheet comparison”.
  • Simple Mode uses an ID column, such as SKU, so changed row order does not turn the whole sheet into false differences.
  • Moved-row detection is available as a dedicated Structural Diff category when you want row repositioning called out explicitly.

Who Uses SheetDiff™?

Subtitle & Transcription QA

Compare original and edited subtitle or transcript files row by row. Measure accuracy with Word Error Rate (WER), Character Error Rate (CER), and Sentence Error Rate (SER).

Localization & Translation Review

Track changes across translated spreadsheets with multi-script normalization — supporting Arabic, Cyrillic, CJK, Thai, Devanagari, and more.

Product Catalog & Inventory Updates

Compare product catalogs, supplier price lists, stock sheets, and SKU-based records. Find modified fields, added products, deleted items, and reordered rows in Google Sheets™.

Data Quality Assurance

Validate dataset integrity between two versions. Every modification, addition, deletion, split, and merge is automatically categorized and color-coded.

AI Output Evaluation

Compare AI-generated or machine-translated content against a human reference with WER/CER metrics — ideal for evaluating LLM and MT model accuracy.

Spreadsheet Version Control

Commit a snapshot, make edits, then run the diff — a lightweight version comparison workflow entirely within Google Sheets™.
